Sometimes you just have to do the right thing. After already rescuing 10 large dogs this week, shelter staff asked PAWS to take in Clare, a super sweet sharpei, who had been hit by a car. This girl was so gentle, despite her pain, and we couldn’t say no. On December 19th, she spent hours at the ER vet under sedation, getting bloodwork and xrays. Her shoulder joint is shattered and she will likely require amputation. She will be seen soon by an orthopedic surgeon. Her xrays, pain meds, bloodwork and sedation costs are currently at $650, and the surgery will likely be another $1,000. We appreciate any gifts you can offer to help Clare get a new chance at life this holiday season! Thank you!
